Lent Day 24 | 40 to Life

Welcome Redeemer Family.  I am Margaret Bonifant, and I serve on the Vestry as the head of Pastoral Care .  Welcome back to our 40 to Life daily reflections.  Today is the 24th day of Lent. Today I have chosen to reflect on the life of John Keble.  Father Keble was a priest who hoped to restore in Anglicans a deep feeling for the Church Year.  He found comfort and fulfillment in the daily rituals of pastoral life.  He conducted services, held classes, made visits to schools and helped those who sought spiritual counsel.  The passage is relevant today as we attempt to carry out the wishes of our Lord in the face of trials and tourmoil.

“Grant, O God, that in all time of our testing that we may know they presence and obey thy will; that, following the example of thy servant, John Keble, we may accomplish with integrity and courage that which thou givest us to do, and endure that which thou givest to bear; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen
